Corby Freemasons Supporting the Poppy Appeal at Morrisons

Members of Corby Freemasons joined forces with the Royal British Legion this week to support the annual Poppy Appeal at Morrisons. On Wednesday 6 November, volunteers spent the day helping to raise funds for veterans and their families.

The group set up a stall inside the store, where shoppers could pick up their poppies while learning more about the work of the Royal British Legion. Their table quickly became a popular stop, with plenty of friendly conversations, smiles, and generous donations from local shoppers.

Community Support for a Lasting Cause

The Poppy Appeal is one of the UK’s most recognised charitable traditions, honouring the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community. Every donation goes toward providing lifelong support for serving personnel, veterans, and their loved ones.

The involvement highlights their ongoing commitment to community service and charitable giving. Across Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire, lodges have long supported the Royal British Legion and other local causes that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

A Big Thank You

Corby Freemasons would like to thank everyone who stopped by the stall, donated, or simply took a moment to show their support. Every contribution helps the Royal British Legion continue its important work.

If you missed the team this week, there’s still time to donate or pick up your poppy in stores across Corby. Together, small acts of kindness add up to something meaningful.
