There’s a new name for the Ante-Room!
W Bro Jeff Conisbee – Recognition of Outstanding Commitment / Achievement
On Thursday 11th December 25, following the regular meeting of Corbie Lodge 9144 W Bro Jeff Conisbee received a very special accolade from the Corby Masonic Club Management Committee for his dedicated work in the completion of the major reconfiguration of the Masonic Hall, during 2025.

The ante – room for the main Lodge Room , which is now used for meetings and rehearsals was re-named, in perpetuity as “The Conisbee Room”.
The works were required to facilitate a long-term partnership (15 years) that’s has been entered into by the Club with a local dental practice ( Smiles Ahead)

The Chairman of the Corby Masonic Club, W Bro Steve Burton said :
“Our hall has been here for over 50 years, 2025 has been a significant milestone, we now have a 15-year partnership with Smiles Ahead , this has enabled us to cut costs and increase income, we are now financially stable for the first time in well over a decade and can look forward to the years ahead with renewed confidence.
This change required a major reconfiguration of the centre, a new bar , new toilet block , and a re-furbished changing area. All of this work would have been out of our reach financially, without the fantastic effort put in by our volunteers.
Essentially Jeff led this team, personally he spent hours, days, weeks and months on this project, he was involved in every aspect of the work, from designing and building the changing room to forming the toilet cubicles and fitting out the bar.
The project could not have been completed without Jeff’s input, he now has another voluntary role as the buildings’ facility director, we know our new hall is in safe hands “
