The Lodge of Unity No. 9495 celebrated a rare and significant occasion: three of our brethren currently hold the office of Worshipful Master across the province.

  • W.Bro John Neal – Worshipful Master of Ferraria Lodge No. 8489
  • W.Bro Jim Spence – Worshipful Master of Thistle & Rose Lodge No. 6644
  • W.Bro Philip Mason – Worshipful Master of Unity Lodge No. 9495

This is not the first time the lodge has achieved this distinction, but it remains a moment of exceptional pride. At the meeting the three Masters were formally acknowledged, their commitment to Freemasonry honoured by the brethren present.

Highlights from the Meeting

The meeting kicked off with a warm welcome and plenty of smiles as we congratulated our three Worshipful Masters on their achievements. It’s not every day we get to celebrate that kind of success, and the pride in the room was easy to see.

Once the formal business was done, we all enjoyed some food, a few drinks, and plenty of good conversation. Stories were swapped, laughs were shared, and it reminded everyone why these evenings mean so much it’s about friendship as much as Freemasonry.

There was also a real feeling of unity as we talked about the values we all share brotherly love, relief, and truth and how those come to life through the leadership we see in our three Masters.

Before the night wrapped up, we looked ahead to the next few months and chatted about upcoming provincial events. With W.Bro Neal, W.Bro Spence, and W.Bro Mason flying the flag for Corby Freemasonry, it’s safe to say we’re in great hands.

Why This Matters

Having three Worshipful Masters drawn from our lodge underscores the strength of our membership. It signals that our brothers are not just participants, but leaders active, influential, respected within the wider community of lodges. Their positions reflect the confidence their peers place in them, and that confidence reflects positively on our lodge.

Forward Focus

As we move ahead from this meeting:

  • The Lodge of Unity No. 9495 will keep cheering on our three brethren in their provincial roles and doing everything we can to support them. It’s something we can all be proud of, and it’s great to see the Unity spirit shining through across the province.
  • Moments like this remind us what Freemasonry is really about getting involved, helping each other grow, and enjoying the journey together. We’re looking forward to keeping that momentum going by getting more brothers involved, sharing knowledge, and doing a bit more for our community.
  • Above all, we’ll keep that sense of friendship and fun that makes Unity such a great lodge to be part of. Leadership doesn’t just come from titles it comes from the little things we do for each other every day.
  • With With W.Bro Neal, W.Bro Spence, and W.Bro Mason setting such a great example, there’s a real buzz around the lodge right now, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.

In conclusion: the presence of our three Worshipful Masters at this meeting was more than a ceremonial nod it was a reflection of our lodge’s vitality and our collective responsibility. It truly was a moment to celebrate and a moment to build upon.
